From Miami International Airport (MIA), getting to and around Downtown and Miami Beach is a lot more economical than it used to be. Miami-Dade Transit has changed the rules of the game with express Metrobus service from MIA to Miami Beach and Metrorail service from MIA to Downtown Miami – for less per trip than what you might pay for your next specialty coffee.

Plan your trip and track our service.

Although the transportation fares are included below, it is always best to confirm current rates. Explore maps and schedules at www.miamidade.gov/transit. The quickest way to Miami Beach from MIA is the least expensive.

Downstairs at the MIA Metrorail Station terminal, hop on Metrobus Route 150, the Miami Beach Airport Flyer. You’ll think you’re still flying as you travel non-stop from the airport to Miami Beach across the Julia Tuttle Causeway. Once in Miami Beach, about 10 miles from MIA, the Flyer offers limited-stop service to the hotels along Collins Avenue and through Washington Avenue all the way south to the tip of South Beach. The fare is $2.65 each way.

Get around the Beach for less.

South Beach is all yours to explore on the Sobe Local shuttle bus for only 25 cents per trip, running every 13 - 30 minutes. A wide array of Metrobus routes serve the length of Miami Beach and beyond, all the way to popular oceanside destinations like Bal Harbour, Haulover Beach and Sunny Isles. The fare is $2.25 per trip.

Downtown Miami is minutes away from MIA on Metrorail.

Metrorail serves the airport, arriving and departing from beautiful state-of-the-art MIA Metrorail station. Take the MIA Mover from the terminal to the station, transfer to Metrorail, and you’ll arrive in Downtown Miami about 15 minutes after your train departs. Our trains have plenty of luggage space and free WiFi on board so you can stay comfortable and productive.

Downtown Miami is at your feet on Metromover.

Our light-rail people mover system is free and connects major hotels and business destinations in Downtown Miami, from the Brickell financial district to the edge of Midtown Miami. Also on the grid are popular dining, shopping and cultural destinations, so you can make the most of you down-time in Downtown. It runs from 5 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
