The air-conditioned trolleys are free and run from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. for most locations, but hours vary depending on the route and the day. The Doral Trolley Tracker app is a great way to track trolleys and find the latest schedules.
In addition to Miami’s extensive free trolley service, visitors can also traverse downtown on the free elevated Metromover train. It runs on three loops including the Omni Loop, Brickell Loop and Inner Loop. There’s also a Full Loop that runs the entire length of the track. Metromover is ideal for visitors attending events in the downtown area who want to explore some of the city’s most popular attractions like the American Airlines Arena, home to the Miami Heat and popular concerts. There’s also Museum Park where you’ll find Pérez Art Museum Miami, the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science and nearby the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts is located. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants to explore along the Metromover route.
